Constance (Connie) Boysen DeHaan is an educator with more than four decades of experience dedicated to teaching, mentoring, and empowering others. For the past four years, she has volunteered as an online English instructor for Afghan girls through the volunteers-run Afghan Girls Education Program, providing language instruction, encouragement, and a supportive learning environment.
Coming from a family rooted in education, healthcare, and community service, Connie has spent her life serving her church, community, and family. Throughout much of her career, she also supported her husband during international assignments involving NAFTA and U.S. automotive partnerships in Asia and Mexico. These experiences gave her valuable insight into the challenges faced by women in developing countries and strengthened her commitment to cross-cultural understanding.
Through her work with Afghan girls, Connie has created a safe and encouraging space where young women can improve their English, build confidence, and pursue new opportunities. She brings empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping others, believing that education and meaningful human connection can transform lives and communities.
Women for Change International seeks to advocate and work in the preservation of the human rights of all women and girls.
